Electrical inspection and testing (EICR)

Regular inspection and testing shows your electrics are safe and compliant. We carry out EICRs and portable appliance testing and give you a clear report.

What is an EICR?

An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a formal inspection of the fixed electrical installation, including wiring, distribution boards and circuits. It records any damage, wear or defects and grades them so you know what needs attention.

How often is testing needed?

Commercial buildings are commonly inspected at least every five years, or sooner if the inspector recommends it or the building use changes. Some higher-risk sites test more often. Read our guide to how often commercial premises need electrical testing, or ask us what suits your premises.

Frequently asked questions

How long does an EICR take?

It depends on the size and complexity of the installation. We will give you an idea of timings before we start and arrange access to suit your operating hours.

What if the report finds faults?

The report grades each defect. We can carry out the remedial work, so one team finds and fixes the problem.

Do you do PAT testing?

Yes. We can test portable appliances and give you the records.
