Emergency lighting installation and testing

If the mains fails, emergency lighting lets people leave safely. We install, test and maintain it so you stay compliant.

Why emergency lighting matters

Emergency lighting guides people to the exits when normal lighting fails. Under fire safety law, the responsible person must make sure escape routes are adequately lit, and emergency lighting is a key part of that. The British Standard for emergency lighting is BS 5266.

Testing requirements

Emergency lights are normally given a short function test each month and a full-duration test once a year, with the results recorded in a logbook. We can carry out the annual test for you and provide the certificate.

What we do

  • Design and install emergency lighting
  • Annual full-duration testing and certification
  • Repair and replacement of failed fittings and batteries
  • Logbook set-up and record keeping
