What we collect
- Your Facebook name and the messaging ID Facebook gives us when you comment on our post or message us
- Your comment on the giveaway post
- The details you send in reply to our message: your name, postcode, email address, and your answers about your boiler and whether you are happy to receive marketing emails
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To run the draw, check you are eligible, pick a winner, contact the winner and deliver the prize. Our legal basis is legitimate interests (running the promotion you chose to enter).
- To keep a record of the draw as evidence it was run fairly. Our legal basis is legitimate interests and our legal obligations.
- To send you marketing emails, only if you said yes. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. It is handled for us by Meta (Facebook and Messenger) and ManyChat, the tool that sends our automatic direct messages. We may also use our email and customer record systems to contact the winner. These providers may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
- Entry details for people who do not win: deleted within 3 months of the draw.
- Winner details and the draw record: kept for 12 months after the draw.
- Marketing email details: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent, by emailing info@ignitefacilities.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
