Commercial heating

Heating testing and safety inspections

Know your heating and gas systems are safe. We test, inspect and report on commercial plant so you can meet your legal duties and spot problems early.

Why inspections matter

Faulty gas appliances, blocked flues and poor combustion can put building users at risk, including from carbon monoxide. Regular inspection and testing finds these problems before they cause harm, and gives you a record that shows you have taken reasonable steps to keep the building safe.

What we check

  • Gas appliance safety and operation
  • Flue condition and flue gas analysis
  • Ventilation and combustion air
  • System pressure, leaks and controls
  • Safety devices and shut-off arrangements

You receive a clear report that lists what we tested, what we found and what we recommend.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a gas safety inspection for a commercial building?

Employers and building managers must keep gas equipment safe, and an inspection by a Gas Safe registered engineer is the standard way to evidence this. If you are unsure what applies to your building, we will advise.

How often should inspections happen?

Gas appliances are commonly checked at least annually. We will recommend an interval based on your plant and how the building is used.

Will you give me a report?

Yes. Every inspection ends with a written report and any certificates that apply.
