Commercial gas
Before new or altered gas pipework goes into use it must be tested for soundness and purged of air. We carry out both safely and record the results.
A pressure, or tightness, test checks that gas pipework does not leak. It is carried out on new installations, after alterations and when a leak is suspected.
Purging safely removes air from new pipework and replaces it with gas, or removes gas from pipework before work begins. It must be done in a controlled way by a competent, Gas Safe registered engineer.

Ignite is based at Joiners Square Industrial Estate in Hanley, so we are close to Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme. We also cover the rest of Staffordshire and Cheshire East. See all the areas we cover.
